Who can apply?
The following may be candidates for the Generation NOVA Scholarships:
a) National citizens;
b) Nationals of European Union member states with the right of permanent residence in Portugal and their family members;
c) Nationals of third countries:
i. holders of permanent residence permits;
ii. beneficiaries of long-term resident status;
iii. coming from States with which cooperation agreements have been concluded;
iv. coming from States whose law, under equal circumstances, grants equal treatment to Portuguese students;
v. stateless persons; saw. beneficiaries of political refugee status.

Deadlines
Academic year 2022/23
You may apply at any time.
Your application will be analysed and evaluated and you will be informed of the result as follows:
FEE and ACCOMODATION: 15th November | 15th January | 15th March
FOOD | TRANSPORT | COMPUTER | DIGITAL OR SCHOOL MATERIAL: until 30 days after submission
Selected candidates will be informed of the result by email and the results will also be published on the SASNOVA website.
Preparing your application
The evaluation criteria of the applications have been established based on the purpose for which the Geração NOVA Scholarships were created – to support NOVA students whose family’s income is insufficient to allow them to take advantage of their capacities in order to obtain the best academic performance possible in their course. The complete regulation can be consulted at Geração NOVA Scholarship Regulations 22/23.
Geração NOVA Scholarships are aimed at students who are completing their Bachelors, Integrated Masters degrees or Masters.
