Hikes

The WALKS by NOVA, accompanied by Felisberto Tavares Guide, are fun and challenging moments to do together with friends, and at the same time discover idyllic places in our country!

On all hikes it is recommended to take snacks, water, clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather.

Ribeira do Cavalo - March 23

On March 23rd, we will walk along one of the most beautiful slopes of the Arrábida Natural Park until we reach Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo. This route along the cliff invites us to contemplate the immensity of the sea, the cliffs and the beaches with turquoise waters.

Join this walk with your friends and combine socializing, physical exercise and reconnecting with nature.

Difficulty: 3/5 Moderate

[Warning: The walk in general is level 1 with the exception of the descent and ascent to the beach where the gradient is quite steep and not recommended for people with heart disease and without the habit of doing any physical exercise.]

From the Castle to the slopes of Palmela - April 6

On April 6th we are going to Palmela!

Here we will find the routes that take in the best views between Serra da Arrábida, Troia, Sado, Tagus and Lisbon. An authentic pearl.

The start will be from the top of Palmela Castle, along the Serra do Louro ridge. Reserve your place!

Fórnea Trail (Serra de Aire e Candeeiros) - April 27

On April 27th, we will go to Serra de Aire e Candeeiros to discover some of the many wonders of this natural paradise, including the waterfall and the Fórnea trail.

Fórnea is a natural amphitheater measuring around 1km in diameter, excavated from lower and middle Jurassic limestone, making it a place rich in fossils. The top of the mountain promises to offer us breathtaking landscapes.

Between Ribeira d’Ilhas and São Lourenço Beach - May 4th

On May 4th, we headed towards the west coast, to the emblematic Praia de Ribeira d’ Ilhas, in Ericeira, known worldwide for surfing.

Here we will take a walk that will follow a coastal trail towards Praia de S. Lourenço, returning inland among the green fields of Ribamar. At the end, an invitation to have lunch in Ericeira will be launched.

Along the trails of Monte da Lua – Sintra - May 18th

On May 18th, we will take a route between the forest and the historic center of Sintra, which will reveal the best of both worlds. From centuries-old trees to lagoons, monuments and landscapes that disappear into the horizon, let yourself be inspired…

From Foz do Lizandro to Samarra - June 1st

On the 1st of June we will go to Ericeira to walk the coastal route that connects Foz do Lizandro and Praia da Samarra, completing a cycle of walks with NOVA in which, in stages, we have already connected Cabo da Roca to Ericeira along more than 30km of coastline on the Atlantic route.

On this walk we will go through highs and lows between cliffs, deserted beaches, valleys, silence and the immensity of the ocean as a backdrop…

We challenge you to put your swimsuit in your backpack because there will be the possibility of taking a shower.
